What happens
Matikor is the Indo-Caribbean women's night before a Hindu wedding, held separately at each family's home: the women walk to a nearby spot of earth for the dig (the matti), with tassa drumming, singing and dancing on the way and a feast afterwards.
Vendors: tassa players, catering for the gathering, a photographer, and decor for the yard or the hall where the night continues.
